Nursing Home Staffing Adequacy: Nurses Speak out

The issue of nurse staffing has gained nationwide attention. This article describes one government response and the opportunity for nurses to influence government action. It also serves as an example of the actions that nurses may take to influence the government: collaboration with colleagues, letter-writing to policy makers, and professional association involvement.
