On February 20, 2008, Dr. Mary Elizabeth Carnegie, an internationally renowned nursing leader, died after 71 years of a professional nursing career. In this tribute, Dr. Catherine Alicia Georges offers her reflections on Dr. Carnegie's contributions, leadership, and mentorship.
